One million fake certificates were seized in the previous year (ended March 20), according to Ali Zarafshan, director of secondary education at the ministry of education.
He said forging of academic certificates is dealt with sternly by the department of fraud prevention, under the supervision of the ministry of interior. The department aims to identify and prevent forgery in documents. “Forged records will cause problems at the workplace once their fraudulence is exposed, and therefore we advice students and parents not to encourage such illegal practices,” he added, reports Iran Newspaper.
