The best and cheapest means for extinguishing fires no doubt is water. In more than 90% of fire incidents, water is used to extinguish fires, but since at present, there is a national campaign to conserve water, the firefighting stations are using new equipment, including advanced water-saving pipe nozzles, said Jalal Maleki, spokesman for the firefighting department.
Spraying foam and powder for fire extinguishing are expensive and also increases environmental pollution, Salamat news reported.
