Iran mobile penetration levels are highest in the Middle East while it has an outstanding presence in cyberspace. Based on the latest statistics, 83.2 million cell phone users were registered in Iran in 2015, a number that exceeds the population, said Vice Chancellor of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences Kamran Bagheri Lankarani, ILNA reported. There are also more than 40 million Internet users, 20 percent of whom are blog owners. Lankarani announced that an International Seminar on Mobile Health will be held on May 17 and 18 to provide a platform for debate on healthcare for mobile users.
