Six well-equipped hospitals are to be built in Karbala, Najaf, and Kazemein in Iraq in cooperation with Iraq’s Reconstruction Organization for Holy Shrines, the Iran Red Crescent Society (IRCS), and philanthropists, said Ali Heydari, deputy of Hajj & Pilgrimage Organization’s medical center at IRCS. “Five plots of land were donated by philanthropists for hospital construction to ensure health and safety of pilgrims in the three cities,” said Heydari, Mehr News Agency reported. The construction process has started in Najaf and Karbala. A hotel building in Najaf was endowed to the cause; after obtaining the necessary permit from the Iraqi health ministry, it will be converted into a hospital.
