Major Changes in School Books

Fifth grade textbooks have undergone major changes and seventh and eighth graders will learn about ‘addiction’ and ‘puberty’ in their school books. Mahmoud Amani Tehrani, head of the office of textbooks at the ministry of education, said some changes have also been made in fourth grade textbooks. Tehrani, quoted by Iran newspaper, added that many cultural and social bodies were seeking to contribute to textbooks content, but it rests with the education ministry to recommend new topics according to the needs of students.
