A plan to overhaul high school majors has been drafted and is awaiting approval of the Supreme Council of Education. Head of the curriculum and research office at the ministry of education, Mohyeddin Bahram Mohammadian said accordingly, students will have a chance to choose their preliminary majors in the ninth grade and later to study subjects of their choice in the 11th and 12th grades. If the proposal is endorsed, the measures will be implemented from 2016, he said, reports ISNA.
