Long-term use of cosmetics can cause dryness of eyes and blurred vision, said Dr. Mehdi Khodaparast, ophthalmologist and deputy of Tehran’s Farabi Hospital eye treatment department. Sebaceous glands, which are located on the inner edge of the eyelids, are sebum supplier for the eyes. Cosmetics block pores and prevent secretion of the sebaceous glands, IRNA reported.
