One of the engines of an Iranian Qeshm Air passenger plane exploded as the aircraft was preparing for takeoff at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport on Thursday. The pilot was able to stop the plane and ambulances and firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the accident, IRNA reported.
The explosion damaged the aircraft’s landing gear. Passengers safely disembarked the plane and were sent to Tehran with another aircraft.
