The minister of health has criticized Iranian medical students studying in low-quality universities overseas. Hassan Hashemi called for the expansion of international sections at medical schools and said it was ‘’regrettable’’ that some Iranian students are forced to study in countries such as UAE, Malaysia, Ukraine and Turkey among others. Heshemi urged medical institutions to set their sights higher and expand their presence in the Mideast region, ISNA reported.
