Two lines of Tehran-Mazandaran highway’s forth section, between the two towns of Chalus and Marzanabad, opened recently, said Heydar Nowruzi, general director of Mazandaran’s roads and urban planning development organization.
Nowruzi added that several measures have been taken to promote the safety of the forth section including the installation of an avalanche safety gear near the route’s tunnel, MNA reported.
Tehran-Mazandaran highway project comprises four sections and will cover 121 km when completed. The fourth sector connects Marzanabad to Chalus.
Mazandaran has more than 10,000 and 500 km of major and minor roads.
