In order to identify truly needy families, the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation (IKRF) sometimes needs to conduct neighborhood surveys. IKRF manager Hossein Anvari said neighbors are consulted over the economic situation of prospective receivers of aid only when long-term assistance is involved, reports ISNA. He added that IKRF’s approach “is to address the root causes of poverty and not just offer palliatives.” The Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation is a charity organization which provides support for poor families and helps them regain financial stability.
