The role of the Social Security Organization (SSO) in the Health Reform Plan has not been “fully acknowledged,’ maintains SSO Managing Director Taghi Noorbakhsh. He said although the SSO has made “important contributions to health reforms, it has not been appreciated by health officials.” He added that with a staff of 65,000, the SSO has been “highly active in enhancing the plan launched last year,” ISNA reported. Noorbakhsh also announced that in the current year, SSO’s “investment returns” hit record highs, making it the best year for SSO financially.
