Trolleybuses

Electric buses will make a comeback on Tehran streets from the next year (starts March 21). Head of Tehran Bus Company Peyman Sanandaji, said the initiative would be an important step to tackle the capital’s air pollution with increased use of hybrid and electric power. Initially, 30 trolleybuses will be retrofitted for the public transport system. More measures to reduce air pollution will be launched in the coming year, he said, quoted by ISNA.
