Healthy Nuts

Serving different kinds of nuts known as ‘Ajil’ is one tradition in the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) ceremony.  While fresh and unprocessed nuts are good sources of protein, minerals and other phytonutrients, moldy and processed nuts can be very harmful, Mehr News Agency quoted Dr. Soheil Eskandari, deputy head of the Food and Drug Administration in evaluating food quality, as saying. The best way to recognize the health of the nuts is to buy those which have the FDA standard symbol - green and blue apple.
