The Tehran Municipality (TM) will adopt new measures to conserve water in its irrigation methods. Urban deputy at the TM, Mojtaba Abdollahi quoted by ISNA said surface water is being collected at the moment and in the coming year (starts March 21), the TM intends to build 100 concrete reservoirs for parks and other green spaces. The reservoirs will enable the municipality to conserve water in winter to be used for watering parks during summer. He also said the municipality “has made the preservation of urban gardens and parks a top priority.”
