Taking advantage of the latest knowhow and technology to combat narcotics for the overall social good is vital for the police, said head of Anti-Narcotics Police Ali Moayedi in a meeting with representatives of Temix - an Italian Company in the telecommunications sector.
Pointing to the satisfactory cooperation between Iran and Italy in the past, he said constant interactions like such meetings can boost mutual relations as well help strengthen the global battle against drugs. Prevention of drug trafficking from Afghanistan to the main markets in Europe “is a remarkable mission taken up by Iran police,” he said, ISNA reported. Highlighting Iran’s capacities especially in social and security affairs, Armando Santi Corolla, head of the Italian delegation, gave a report on the company’s capabilities and achievements and hoped for greater collaboration between the two sides to fulfill the goals of policing in terms of satellite and electronic systems improvements.
