Plenty of cyber crimes occur in the country, said Col. Ali Niknafas, head of cyber crime prevention center at Iran’s Cyber Police (FATA).
Lack of updated systems, software and anti-viruses is the main reason for contamination of the country’s cyber space, Alef News Agency quoted him as saying. Desecration of human dignity is the second digital crime after economic offences. More than 91.5% of the crimes are economically motivated, he said, adding that in recent years stealing bank card information has increased significantly.
