The drugs and food deputy to the minister of health said there is no room for concern that Iranian medicines are being smuggled out of the country since they are mainly purchased at their actual prices from pharmacies and not at subsidized rates. Dr. Rasoul Dinavard said some 2000 people from neighboring Azerbaijan enter the country daily to purchase drugs from local pharmacies.
