Municipal affairs can no longer be managed only through financial resources and citizens need to be involved directly. Tehran mayor Bagher Ghalibaf said after nearly a decade of his tenure as the mayor, he has come to the conclusion that without the involvement of every single citizen, managing city affairs would not be possible no matter how much funding is available, ISNA reports. Ghalibaf added that the municipality “welcomes any propositions by the people to better manage civic affairs.”
