The Iranian National Commission for UNESCO is scheduled to hold a ceremony on Friday, (Feb. 27) in honor of Dr. Ali Asghar Khodadoust, an Iranian pioneer in the field of ophthalmology.Prof. Khodadoust, an ophthalmologist and expert in cornea transplants in Iran and America, has made great contribution to the advancement of ophthalmology in Iran and the world. He is renowned as an international pioneer of eye research.
The ceremony will be attended by a number of scientific and cultural figures as well as his students. Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO Mohammad Saeed Abadi will felicitate Prof. Khodadoust for his scientific, social and cultural contributions.
