Researchers at Tehran’s prestigious Sharif University of Technology (SUT) will inaugurate an enzymes industrial production line, the first in Iran, on Tuesday (Feb 24). Due to the strategic nature and the restrictions on importing technical knowhow on enzymes, researchers at SUT were determined to open an industrial line to produce enzymes domestically, Mehr News Agency reported.
Project manager Reza Rousta noted that the line will produce widely-used and important enzymes in various fields of pharmaceuticals, food, health and industry.
The inauguration of the production line will be held at SUT and will be attended by a number of government and industry representatives.
