A house-to-house census will be conducted next year (starts March 21)to determine the exact number of drug addicts in the country. Prevention & rehab deputy Mohsen Roshan Pajooh at the State Welfare Organization (SWO) said the door-to-door census “is considered the best method in providing the accurate number of drug abusers, which is the first step in fighting the problem.” He added that the initiative is part of the new ‘’social-oriented’’ approach at the SWO, which seeks to tackle the drug menace by first tracking its root cause, ISNA reported.
