For the first time, no homework booklet – known as ‘Nowrooz Dispatch’ will be published for the New Year holidays (starting March 21) and instead, schools and teachers will decide how much homework students will need to do during the two-week holiday. Minister of Education Ali Asghar Fani made the announcement saying that based on the new decentralization policies at the education department, “there will be no top-down mandate regarding homework and other classroom activities.”
