The minister of health announced that a wide range of reforms would take place in medical education in the country with most of the changes directed at enhancing the quality of medical schools. According to ISNA, Dr. Hassan Hashemi, who was delivering a speech on the occasion of the start of the new academic year at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, extolled the health reform plan and expressed hope that efforts undertaken by the ministry in the field of medical education will soon bear fruit.
