Due to strict control on raw material imports used in manufacturing artificial drugs, the prices of the drugs have increased significantly. Minister of Interior Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said several underground factories manufacturing synthetic drugs have also been shut down contributing to a decline in their availability. The government is determined to increase its crackdown on illicit drugs and will soon hold a meeting with President Rouhani on the issue, he said, ISNA reported.
