Crackdown on vehicles which enter restricted traffic zones will be intensified from today. Special Operations Commander of Tehran Traffic Police Col. Said Sepehri said the blitz in particular will focus on motorcycles which commonly violate traffic rules by trespassing restricted lanes meant exclusively for city buses. He said to tackle this common violation, vehicles including cars and motorcycles which enter restricted zones “will be fined $16 for the first time and repeaters will have their vehicle seized temporarily,” reports ISNA.
