A new campaign to advocate healthy eating habits in schools will be launched across the country soon. Health and sports deputy at the ministry of education Mehrzad Hamidi said “cultural awareness is the first step to instill healthy eating habits among school children.” The measures include installing educational posters inside school stores with tips to guide caterers on how to prepare and sell healthy food and snacks. Hamidi added there will also be campaign posters outside the stores and around school yards to inform the students about the benefits of healthy nutrition, ISNA reported.Good nutrition is essential to student health. That means replacing junk food with more fruits, vegetables and meals prepared with nutritious ingredients.
