The health ministry has established a separate office to tackle issues facing the youth. The office known as ‘youth health’ has among its programs incentives to make marriage more affordable and appealing for the young folk. Mohammad Eslami, family deputy at the ministry of health said “we are finding ways to make it appealing for young married student couples to have more kids since educated people tend to have fewer children.” He said the measures would include “the possibility of granting academic leave and allowing students with children to skip classes,” ISNA reports.
