Due to an increase in life expectancy and the rise in the level of pollution in big cities including Tehran, the rate of strokes or brain attacks are also rising. President of the Iranian Epilepsy Society Dr. Koorosh Gharegazloo recommended that people regularly visit a general practitioner from an early age to control risk factors for stroke such as high blood pressure. He said it is a silent disease and warned that the age for strokes in the country is declining, now affecting people in their 30’s and 40’s, ISNA reported.
