An enactment to protect women and children in social affairs dubbed ‘’security in social interactions for women and children’’ has been drafted by the interior ministry and is ready to be sent to the government for consideration. Fahimeh Farahmandpour, senior adviser to the minister of interior in women affairs said, it aims to protect the ‘’psychological, social and health security’’ of women and children. She added that “since security begins at home, measures to protect women and children in the family” is also included in the enactment.
