    ‘Ambulance Drone’ for Rescue Ops

A plan to include ‘ambulance drones’ with airborne medical kits in rescue operations is now being studied at the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) and if proved successful, it will be launched soon. Naser Charkhsaz, who heads Rescue Operations at the IRCS, said the plan is part of the expansion of air ambulances services. The airborne medical kit can be flown to the scene of an emergency without the risk of traffic delays. The IRCS has 17 helicopters but “this number must increase as air ambulances are very effective in rescue operations,” he said quoted by ISNA.
