The plan to plant trees in an area of 1,000 hectares in southern Alborz has begun and is likely to continue until March 21. The head of the Green Space Office at Tehran Municipality Ali Mohammad Mokhtari said there are also plans to distribute one million saplings among the people to be planted in their home gardens. The saplings include 1,888 varieties that had been requested by residents through SMS sent to the Green Space Office, he said quoted by ISNA.
