The third round of food aid distribution among low-income families has commenced, said Ahad Rostami an official at the labor and welfare ministry. The national program now covers 9 million individuals comprising 3 million families. The majority of the families who receive food aid are covered by the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation (IKRF) and the State Welfare Organization (SWO). He said families identified as suffering from ‘’malnutrition’’ by the ministry will also receive food packages, reports ISNA.
