Iranian Cinema Experiencing Prolific Output

Since the beginning of the current fiscal year (March 21, 2019), production permits have been issued for 140 movies in Iran, the filming of 100 of which started from Dec. 22, 2019. 
A total of 38 movies were submitted for participation in the Fajr Film Festival of 2020 and eventually 28 films were screened at the 10-day event (from Feb. 1 to 11). 
In the last fiscal year (March 2018-19), 112 movies were produced in Iran compared with 107 movies in the year ending March 2018.
