By amending and improving the existing laws, the ministry of labor and social welfare aims to promote and encourage charity work in society. Social deputy at the ministry, Roozbeh Kordooni quoted by ISNA said “complex rules and regulations are inhibiting the operation of charity organizations and the minister had issued a directive to amend the rules.” The changes have been made in consultation with charity representatives and they will be introduced concurrent with the start of the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations (Feb 1) which marks the Islamic Revolution anniversary.
