Molaverdi Rejects Merger Call

While the debate on splitting youth affairs from the sports ministry is continuing, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi said its proposed merger with women affairs would be against the objectives of a “leaner and efficient government.” Dismissing the proposal she said creating a separate office for youth affairs would be more sensible and is recommended by the sports ministry too, ISNA reports.
