A comprehensive national program, focusing on cultural and socio-psychological aspects of tourism is being presented to Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), said a member of the Center for Tourism of the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR), Dr. Mojgan Azimi Hashemi. The plan will try to cover areas such as values, attitudes, and behavior pertaining to tourism. A detailed proposal has been approved, but the plan will be rolled out towards the end of current Iranian year (ends March 20), upon approval of ICHHTO. The plan has a two-year timeframe. The center has another research project on tourism for Shandiz, Khorasan Razavi Province, which will be carried out following a request by Shandiz Municipality.
