A direct flight route will be established between Kazakhstan and Sari, Mazandaran Province in the near future, said the head of the tourism commission at the Mazandaran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, Mohammad Kaveh. The route is to be funded by an Iranian investor who lives in Kazakhstan with the aim of boosting medical tourism in Iran, according to the Persian daily Donya-e Eghtesad. The advanced medical and treatment facilities in the province provide room for expanding medical tourism, noted the official, emphasizing that an effort to attract medical tourists from the Caspian Sea countries needs to be made. Kaveh pointed to Mazandaran governorate office as a pioneer in expanding ties with the countries in the region and hoped that the route would improve this position even further. Another flight route between Sari and Dubai, in the UAE, will be operational within the coming weeks. Offering joint medical and treatment services to travelers from Arab countries and domestic tourists is high on the agenda, said Kaveh.
