The Astronomy Society of Semnan is conducting a star tour on December 25 and 26, CHTN quoted public relations office of the provincial Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) as stating. The tour will take participants to the Safavid caravanserai of Lasjerd in Sorkheh county. According to head of the provincial ICHHTO Arezu Golkar, the tour aims at creating awareness on the natural and historical attractions of Semnan Province, including the caravanserai. Some 160 km from Tehran, Lasjerd caravanserai is close to the main Tehran-Mashhad highway. It has 2 verandas and 24 chambers, built with bricks. The courtyard is 36 meters long and 5 meters wide. Lasjerd caravanserai was restored for the last time by the famous merchant Haj Ali Naqi Kashani.
