Urmia-Najaf-Baghdad Flights Resume

Urmia-Najaf-Baghdad flights resumed on Monday with the first flight taking off from Urmia Airport in West Azarbaijan Province. “The flight is scheduled weekly on Mondays to take off at 9:45 a.m. (local time) and return at 10:45 p.m.,” Kamal Parhizkar, executive director of West Azarbaijan Airports, said, Uromieh.airport.ir reported. All Iranian airlines had suspended their flights to Najaf as of July 1, following regulatory changes imposed by Iraqi aviation officials, which made operating flights to Al Najaf International Airport very costly. Following protests, the regulations were rescinded and the flights resumed. The flight is operated by Zagros Airlines and uses an Airbus 321.
