As the cold spreads, a variety of bird species like stalings, gulls, eagles, and crows have chosen the the waste depot of Tehran in Kahrizak as their urban sanctuary, Animal Rights Watch (arw.ir) reported. The Kahrizak waste depot processes and sorts over 7,000 tons of garbage each day.
