A national handicrafts exhibition will be held in Shiraz, Fars Province, CHTN reported. The exhibition will be held at the Shiraz international fair grounds from February 3 to 8, 2015, coinciding with the Fajr festival, commemorating the Islamic Revolution, according to the public relations office of the provincial department of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), quoting head of the department Mosayeb Amiri as saying. Artisans from 31 provinces will participate in the exhibition, presenting their crafts in 230 stands. Of this figure, as many as 130 artisans come from Fars Province. Some exhibitors will be producing their goods and demonstrating their craft on site before the visitors. The secretariat of the exhibition has started publicizing the event, and allocating exhibition spaces. Fundraising is on to attract sponsors to cover a part of the exhibition expenses.
