Cypriot airline Cobalt will launch its Larnaca-Tehran route next week, a promotional banner on the airline’s website announced.

Cobalt, which is only the second airline to be established following the 2015 dissolution of Cypriot flag carrier Cyprus Airways, will fly once weekly on Thursday to Tehran and back.

The route will be launched on July 13. From August, the airline will increase the number of flights to twice weekly, flying on Mondays and Thursdays.

One-way ticket prices start from €121, though July fares are firmly set at €155. The airline had initially planned to begin flying to Tehran last summer, but it is unclear why that plan did not materialize.

A quick search on travel fare aggregator Skyscanner revealed that the service will continue until October, meaning it’s operated seasonally.
