The restoration of the three-star Shadi Hotel in Oraman, Kurdestan Province, is complete and the establishment now meets local standards.
Arman Vatanparast, deputy for tourism at the provincial office of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, said about 10 billion rials ($266,000) in loans were given to investors by Omid Entrepreneurship Fund to renovate the all-stone, 19-room structure.
The official said the fund has pledged to provide 20 billion rials ($533,000) to investors, travel news website Donyayesafar reported.
"The hotel's compliance with Iranian standards will be approved in two months," he said.
The fund was also used to expand the hotel's area to set up a parking lot, cafe and a supermarket.
