Iran and Portugal have signed an agreement to allow visa-free travel between the two countries for diplomatic and service passport holders. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates’ Affairs Hassan Qashqavi and Portugal’s Secretary of State for Internationalization Jorge Costa Oliveira signed the agreement during a meeting in Tehran on Saturday, ISNA reported. The officials said the move helps strengthen economic, political and cultural ties between Tehran and Lisbon, and prepares the ground for further facilitation of the visa regime.
