Kyrgyzstan to Ease Visa for Iranians

Kyrgyzstan will facilitate visa requirements for Iranians to boost its tourism industry. During a press conference in Tehran on Thursday with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Kyrgyzstan’s top diplomat, Erlan Abdyldayev, said the move is in line with his country’s policy of “preparing favorable conditions for Iranian investors and tourists”, ILNA reported. Iran issues month-long visa on arrival to Kyrgyz nationals that can be extended for up to 90 days. Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia is not a typical destination for Iranians, but with Turkey losing its allure many countries (such as Georgia and Armenia) hope to get a piece of Iran’s outbound tourism market.
