Islamic Revolution Mostazafan Foundation, one of the largest conglomerates in Iran, will send a team of experts to study the tourism potential of Lark and Hengam islands in the Persian Gulf. “The studies will continue until the end of the current Iranian year (ending March 20),” said Mohammad Saeedikia, the head of the foundation, IRNA reported. Welcoming the interest shown in the region’s tourism by the foundation, Jasem Jaderi, Hormozgan governor general, said Lark and Hengam have great potential for tourism but “need infrastructure to tap into that potential”. Established in 1979, Mostazafan Foundation is the second-largest commercial enterprise in Iran and the biggest holding company in the Middle East. It accounts for 1.5% of Iran’s gross domestic product.
