Part of the Ramsar Airport, in the northern province of Mazandaran, will be developed by the private sector, CHN reported. “We need private sector support to develop the airport, and will choose the most competent,” said Musa Masha Zamani, head of the province’s airports, during a meeting on the Ramsar airport investment opportunities. Ramsar Airport which was built in 1952 exclusively for VIP flights is to be renovated “to become one of the most beautiful airports in the country,” he added. The internal and foreign terminals, the airport town, and the CIP floor (used by commercially important people) will be developed using private sector funding. Zamani announced that 95% of the new runway has been completed.
