A direct tourism railroad from Kazakhstan's Aktau City to Incheh Borun, a city in Gonbad-e Qabus County in Golestan Province, will be constructed soon after an agreement is signed by the two sides. As reported by the Golestan Governorate, Kazakh state bodies and private sector players in Aktau agreed on the project after surveying Incheh Borun's tourism potentials and infrastructures, ISNA reported.
Reporting from a meeting recently held in Aktau on expanding bilateral tourism relations, Ebrahim Karimi, the head of the province's office of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, said rail tracks would have to be laid through Turkmenistan, therefore "Turkmenistan's agreement is necessary to start the project".
Tehran-based Caspian Airlines was suggested to establish a joint airline company with the Kazakh side to operate direct flights between the two countries.
The negotiators scheduled visits to Golestan Province to sign contracts to further develop cultural and tourism ties between the two sides.
