An exhibition showcasing Persian relics will be held in Germany in the coming months, according to a senior official at Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. In an interview with Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Hassan Talebian, cultural heritage deputy at the organization, said artifacts belonging to civilizations that prospered in Iran's deserts will be exhibited at the event. The date and venue of the exhibition were not mentioned. Cultural heritage cooperation between Tehran and Berlin is gradually becoming stronger. Last week, the Dusseldorf-based Gerda Henkel Foundation selected Iran as one of the three recipients of this year’s research grants to fund cultural heritage studies in Yazd Province and help the National Museum of Iran document its collection of Islamic art, said to be about 15,000 objects, to set up a database.
